About
PowerWin is a multi-channel mobile lottery and gaming platform. The platform enables users to participate in lottery and skill-based games through Mobile Apps, Mobile Web, SMS keywords, and USSD interactions.
Role
As the UI/UX Lead on this project, I navigated end-to-end design across multiple customer segments. Over 4 months, I translated complex regulatory constraints and telecom backend logic into seamless, high-engagement transactional games.
The Problem
Nigeria's gaming and lottery market is highly fragmented. Existing lottery products often suffer from complicated onboarding processes, poor accessibility for users with limited internet access, and a lack of engaging gameplay experiences that appeal to different user preferences.

Additionally, lottery products tend to focus on a single mechanic, limiting user retention and reducing opportunities for engagement.
Project Goals
The primary goal of PowerWin was to create a zero-friction lottery experience that could serve a wide demographic of users while driving engagement and retention.

The goals are:
1. Designing a seamless multi-channel gaming experience.
2. Supporting smartphone and feature phone users equally.
3.  Increasing user engagement through diverse game mechanics.
4. Simplifying subscriptions and wallet interactions.
Target audience
1. Casual Gamers
2. Lottery Enthusiasts
3. Skill-Based Players
4. Sports Fans
5. Feature Phone Users
Research and Discovery
During the discovery phase, I explored the behavioural patterns that influence participation in lottery and gaming platforms mainly in Nigeria.

I identified several key psychological triggers that encourage engagement: Instant gratification, Competition and achievement, Risk versus reward, Daily participation habits, Social validation and leaderboards, Simplicity of entry and Low financial commitment.
Information Architecture
PowerWin consists of seven independent gaming experiences operating within a unified ecosystem.
The platform architecture was designed to ensure users can easily discover, understand, and participate in each game while maintaining a consistent wallet and rewards experience.
Design system
The PowerWin design system was built around accessibility, scalability, and engagement.
Solution
PowerWin introduces a unified gaming ecosystem that combines seven distinct lottery experiences into a single accessible platform.
The solution was designed around zero-friction participation, allowing users to enter games through their preferred channels without compromising the overall experience.
Each gaming mechanic is intentionally designed to satisfy different behavioural motivations:
Betplay introduces sports prediction mechanics for sports enthusiasts.
SpinRush provides engaging chance-based interactions through spinning mechanics.
PlayArena ofers users different arcade type games instantly
FlashWin provides instant scratch-and-win gratification for users seeking immediate rewards.
Pick 5 allows users to participate in a 5 number-selection lottery experience.
Pick 6 allows users to participate in a 6 number-selection lottery experience.
QuizArena offfers educational trivia experiences that reward skill and knowledge.
Impact
PowerWin successfully addresses one of the biggest challenges within the Nigerian gaming industry, which is accessibility across all platforms. Also the multisystem gamified platfrom.
PowerWin demonstrates how thoughtful product design can transform traditional lottery experiences into an engaging, inclusive, as seen in the designs.
We currently just lauched version one and in the early stages of usabilty testing, feedbacks gotten would further help improve powerwin and tale it to the next level!
Screens
The final high-fidelity designs bring the PowerWin experience to life through an engaging and intuitive interface. Each screen was designed to simplify gameplay, enhance accessibility across multiple user touchpoints, and create a seamless journey from onboarding to participation and rewards.
